Día 19 one before the last

Today, was day 19th of my trip.

The last two days have been great, after Costa Rica I met a friend At the border with Panama Called Jose who was travelling from from Texas to Equator on his bike too.

Since then we have been together and seen all around.

Hoy, fue el día 19 de mi viaje.

Los dos últimos días han sido grandiosos. después de Costa Rica conocí a un amigo en la frontera con Panamá llamado Jose; quien esta viajando desde Texas hasta el Ecuador en su moto.

Desde entonces hemos andado juntos y visto muchas cosas en el camino.

Last nite we stayed in Santiago -Panama

Anoche nos quedamos en Santiago-Panama.

It was pouring all the way to Panama city and the most interesting thing happened so get ready...

As soon as we got to Panama city (the welcome sign) And after 4.300 Miles of Rain, Extreme Heat, Wind, Fog, Mist and bugs ¨El espanto¨ Died Yes, my motorcycle it did idled and did not start anymore, a Block before Las Americas bridge at the entrance to Panama city.

But more than a sadness or despair I felt, thankful and Glad because I had made it here, and also beacuse I had a friend with me.

Then a Police officer partially closed the highway so I could get to the other side to try to start my bike again but it did not happen and just like I had told some of you before I gave The nice police man my bike.

So that was a great time for the Three of Cirino de Leon, Jose and Me.

we were all amazed at how things happen in life and I think he deserves it.

He will probably have to fix it and then he will have some nice present from Colombia. and me, well... I am glad I did it. it is a wonderful feeling.

We are now staying at a hostel in Panama, tomorrow pics and at 6 p.m I have a flight to Medellin to attend my cousins Graduation.

Llovió todo el camino hacia Panamá y algo muy interesante pasó asi q alistense...

Tan pronto como llegamos a Panamá (la valla de bienvenidos) y despues de mas de 8.000 km de lluvia, calor extremo, viento, niebla e insectos, ¨el Espanto ¨murió. Si, mi motocicleta se apagó y no quiso encender de nuevo. Una cuadra antes del puente de las Americas en la entrada de ciudad de Panamá.

Pero lo interesante es q mas q tristeza o desolación me sentí agradecido y satisfecho de que había llegado hasta aquí.

Entonces un policia cerro parcialmente la autopista para q yo pudiera llevar la moto a una bahia al lado para tratar de encenderla. cosa q no se logró asi q decidí regalarsela.

Fué un gran momento para los tres, Cirino de Leon, Jose y yo.

estabamos sorprendidos de ver como pasan las cosas en la vida y creo q el la merece.

Espero q la repare y la pueda disfrutar mucho.

En cuanto a mi, hoy estamos en un Hostal y mañana tomar fotos de la Ciudad para en la noche salir en a las 6 en avión para Medellin en donde asistire a la ceremonia de graduacion de mi primo.

Cerro de La muerte

El cerro de la Muerte is a place between Cartago and San Isidro el General and I understand now why the name.

It is about 50 miles of rain, fog, Moutains and temp of 5F but worth the drive and the experience.

El cerro de la muerte es un Lugar entre Cartago y San Isidro el General en Costa Rica y Ahora entiendo porq el nombre, los q conocen el cerro del alto de Letras en Manizales ponganle el doble de frio, y distancia y con eso tienen la zona.

Ok, after giving my wet clothes away and putting my rain suit on I went down the creepy cold mountain and today I am driving along a nice road next to the pacific ocean on my way to Panama

Bien, despues de regalar las pocas ropas humedas y colocarme el traje de lluvia, baje desde la montaña fria hasta donde me encuentro hoy en la Uvita, en donde voy conduciendo por una carretera q me llevara a Panamá a lo largo de la costa del oceano Pacífico.

Día 18

Hola de nuevo.

Today is the 18th day of my trip and despite of the not so well planned events I think I will make it in 20 days as I have thought.

Hoy es el día 18 de mi viaje y a pesar de los eventos no planeados creo q si llegare en 20 días como lo había planeado.

On Monday I left Nicaragua and crossed to Costa Rica with rain and three new friends at 9 p.m

We shared a space that night, they are from Canada and France and they have been travelling for two months now from Quebec to Argentina

El lunes Sali de Nicaragua y crucé a Costa Rica con lluvia y tres nuevos amigos.

Esa noche compartimos un espacio. Ellos son de Canada y Francia y estan viajando hace dos meses, van camino a Argentina desde Quebec.

I crossed on Sunday Morning and travelled all day long, the Country is very nice.
The money is dollars and the roads are wonderful. In the afternoon I arrived in Honduras.

Cruce en la manana del Domingo, viaje todo el Dia el pais es muy bacano, su dinero es Dolares, las carreteras son excelentes. en la tarde llegue a honduras.

Los tres paises son muy parecidos excepto que para entrar a honduras me costo mucho dinero comparado con los otros.

Y pues hoy Lunes estoy en Nicaragua despues de una tormenta anoche q dejo sin luz a todo el pueblo hasta hoy q sali, y un perro deprimido q ladro toda la noche al lado del Hotel en San Lorenzo en Honduras donde amaneci hoy.

The three countries are very similar except for the fact that Honduras was very expensive and requires a lot of paperwork to enter.

Their money is Lempira
Today I am in Nicaragua after a storm last night which left the whole town without electricity and a depressed dog that barked all night long next to the Hotel where I stayed in a Town called San Lorenzo in Honduras.

In the afternoon I will try to make it as close to the border with Costa Rica as I can from a town called Leon in Nicaragua where I am writing from

Guatemala

El Viernes a medio Dia sali para Guatemala
Friday at noon I left for Guatemala.

I spend the night about 60 km from the Border and the place, food and people were all wonderful.
I had the best coffee with milk from my trip so far.

Pase la noche en un lugar como a 60 km de la frontera del Carmen en Guatemala y el lugar, la comida y la gente fueron maravillosos.
Me tome el mejor cafe con leche del camino hasta ahora.

I met wonderful people in Guatemala city and left on Sunday at 6 a.m
Conoci gente maravillosa en Ciudad de Guatemala y sali el domingo a las 6 para el Salvador.

Since the last time I wrote I have crossed four countries and that makes me really happy
Desde la ultima vez q escribi ya he cruzado cuatro paises y eso me hace muy feliz .
I will re-start leaving Mexico.
Re-comenzare saliendo de Mexico.

Unfortunately, I had to waste 2 days in Tapachula beacuse of permits to leave the country, Visa for Guatemala and paperwork for the Motorcycle.

Infortunadamente tuve q desperdiciar dos dias en Tapachula debido a permisos para salir del pais, Visa para Guate y papaleo de la moto.

Today -hoy

Hoy viaje desde Huajapan de Leon hasta Tehuantepec

Carreteras muy lindas, comida deliciosa, y fui a una destilería casera de mexclal que es el tequila que hacen a menor escala y mejor sabor

Today I travelled from Huajapan de Leon to Tehuantepec the road are beautiful specially on a bike and I learnt how Mexclal the not so commercial tequila is made. It tastes so goodd.


Tomorrow I will try to drive all the way to Guatemala or at least the border and we´ll see how it goes

Mañana tratare de manejar hasta Guatemala o al menos la frontera y miraremos q pasa.

La ultima vez nos quedamos en Ciudad victoria.... yeahhhhhh
Last time we stopped at Ciudad Victoria.

Fui a la reunion con don Alberico y las personas del club del pueblo, todos son maravillosos, hablamos, reimos, compartimos un par de Chelas.. en fin un muy bien rato GRACIAS.

I went to the meeting with Mr Alberico and the people of the motorcyclist local club, we talked, laughed shared a couple of Chelas ... it was a great time Thnk U.

Al dia siguiente viaje desde Ciudad Victoria hasta Queretaro Larguisimo y esa ciudad es preciosa.

The next day I travelled from C. Victoria to Queretaro a long day and the town is beautiful.

El domingo salí de Querétaro y viaje hasta Anahuac de León q tambien es hermoso y me encontre con gente maravillosa q me alegro el día después de haber pasado por el DF en donde me... un policia para poder seguir en mi moto. "·$%&/( ·"$%& "·)$/%$&/) ...

On Sunday I left Queretaro and travelled all the way to a more beautiful place Callled
Anahuac de Leon. Where I met wonderful people who cheered me up after a nasty episode in Mexico city with a 'police officer' who ... so I could go on. totally sucked. s"· %& ·$%& .

Day Five

San Antonio TX -Monterrey Mexico

Sali a las 8 a.m y llegue a Monterrey a las 5. p.m

Fue un dia muy largo casi me quedo sin gasolina, y la frontera.. pase como si nada ni siquiera me pdidieron q parara. En San Nicolas me dieron el Mejor batido (jugo) Gratis. Super amable toda la gente hasta ahora

It was a long day, The I almost ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere between Laredo en Nuevo Laredo

The border... Just went through not even a stop to check. COOOL !!! and hottttttttttttttttt

I got free Super awsome refreshing juice People are really nice everywhere.

Day 6

Ciudad Victoria Estado de Nuevo Leon- Hasta Tamaulipas.

Hoy dormire aqui y creo q manana alcanzare a llegar a Queretaro.

Ahora me voy para una reunion de un grupo de motociclistas a la q me invito un miembro del club. SI encuentro la direccion

Today I am in Ciudad Victoria Tamaulipas and I will probably make it to Queretaro.

Tonite i am going to a meeting with a bike club from town, they met me on the road and invited me. If I can find the address.
